Here are the top colors in each family:
By far the Neutrals steal the show (in fact I needed a top 10 list for them)!

Neutrals
#1
#2
#3 (Great Plains Gold)
#4
#5
#6 (Raccoon Hollow)
#7
#8
#9
#10
They range from warm to slightly cool but they all appear restful in any room.

Browns
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5 (Hidden Valley)
Rich and earthy, browns are definitely great color choice. In fact 1035 Cambridge Riverbend is the favorite on the top paint color list!

Grays
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Most of these could be considered “greige” (a combination of gray and beige) but they lend a sophistication to a space. These aren’t the ice-y grays of the ’80′s, but warm, earthy and could easily hold a spot on the Neutrals list.

Whites
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Still a favorite for trim and ceilings, these whites are warm but not too yellow to work with both warm and cool wall colors. If your style is modern, consider painting everything in a room one of these whites– walls, ceilings and trim to set off furniture and artwork without appearing cold and sterile.

Blacks
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
When used for a dramatic accent, black is sophisticated and lush. These blacks are warm, velvety and complex.

Reds
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Reds toned with a touch of brown still take the cake when it comes to creating drama without being a drama queen.

Caramels
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Creamy, caramel-y, colors work well with almost any woodwork. I like them best with a vanilla trim. (Hmmm, makes me want a caramel latte with extra whipped cream.)

Blues
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Blue is listed as the favorite color around the world. West Michigan is no different– people love to use blue in the bedroom for a calm, peaceful feel.

Greens
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
My personal favorite! Greens are evolving from sage to celery with a touch of gray for balance. Lime remains popular for kid’s rooms especially when paired with hot pink, black, or navy blue.

Golds/Yellows
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Yellow is the color most people say they want but can be the hardest to choose. Often too bright and intense, it can be startling, unless toned down like the top 5 yellows shown above.

Purples
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Purples softened with gray or brown pair nicely with cool neutrals and “greige”.
