Color Crush: INKy BLUES

Maybe I was too timid and you never stood a chance when I tried you in turquoise, baby and denim.  Too powdery?   Maybe it’s because I  always tend to love warmer colors.   I really don’t know why I haven’t given you your due, Blue.

I began to like you more when you warmed up a bit and paired up with brown.

I kept having to remind myself  “I am not a ‘blue’ person” when I started seeing you appear in deeper, more color saturated ways.  When you turned Slate-ish, I really started to take notice.

I think what sealed the deal on my new Inky Blue crush was when I used you in my daughter’s bedroom a few months ago.  I really resisted but she insisted ;)

And 2062-20 Gentleman’s Gray went up on 2 walls.  (Yes, Gentleman’s Gray is actually Blue)

Azure, Cobalt, Indigo, Navy, Royal, Sapphire–so regal and rich.   You are sweeping me away with your bold yet sophisticated dignity.  Even the most famous of artists have embraced blue during portions of their careers, including Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse…
